ParticipantHi Ben & welcome, that’s a lovely colour

If you’d like to join the general owners WhatsApp group messages me and I will send you an invite.

ParticipantOk Peter good luck, once you have the diagnostics you can decide from there.
Post up the codes or resolution if it gets that far.
Tony Jaskeran
ParticipantOk Peter,
I’ve had a reader for the 3200 and the Gransport, after researching I went for the foxpro specifically for the Gransport keep loaded & purchased direct.
I didn’t want to spend a lot on one of the more advanced products, especially the read write as you need to know what you are doing.
The foxpro allows me to read any codes to determine if they are critical or not, so far I’ve only had lambda sensor and battery related so good know that you can continue driving.
Am guessing you’ll be going to Autoshield, if you do as them for a printout so you have the clutch reading as well.

ParticipantWhere are you based Peter, I have the fox pro for 4200, which we could use to at least see if there are any stored codes first. I’m in Kingston upon Thames.
I’m at Spa this weekend back on Tuesday so if you are nearby we can try this first.

ParticipantGet it scanned first, it could be one of many items.
Solenoid, faulty wiring around the wheel arch, poor battery earth and more.
Once you have the scan it should make diagnosing easier.
Tony Jaskeran
ParticipantNo problem Peter, I hope it is good news for you.

ParticipantIt’s so frustrating when they could have done this in the beginning and saved all the admin time for everyone.
it will be very interesting to hear what the outcome is on renewal. So let us know

ParticipantI had used Lokton insurance until a few years ago.
At the time the premiums had increased & since then I use an alternative insurer on a multi car policy. It’s not like for like but overall much better value for money.
Insurance companies are really bound by their underwriters & when they change and take a different approach to risk then the premiums rise.
I wish you good luck on your case, especially as the rise in premium is staggering.

ParticipantOk Rob & fingers crossed they can find a fix.

ParticipantSorry to hear that, as a start I’d call one of these well respected independents depending on who is closest to you.

ParticipantGood to see this filling up, & yes a few older cars would make a lovely selection.
I guess with the suite there won’t be the club marquee.

ParticipantThanks Antony, do you know how he knew your email address.
Was he an individual or representing a fake company.
Thanks

ParticipantHi Maurice,
You could try https://abacusalarms.co.uk/re-coding-meta-alarms/maserati.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com
The immobiliser transponder can usually still be cloned or programmed.
The complex part is getting:
the remote locking to work correctly, and
integration with the factory alarm/Meta system.Let us know how you get on.

ParticipantA fantastic outcome Vaughan,
& well done for pursuing the dealer and Maserati.
I’ve updated the tag so others can search and find the thread.

ParticipantThanks for the feedback, we need good reputable and enthusiastic indies. Outside of London there are not that many so this makes good reading.
If you ever get the suspension maintained post up your experience as GTs are heavy and a few owners have experienced very highly repairs quotes and costs.
I’ve tagged this thread as Staffordshire Servicing for future reference.
