Not seen this, I’m wondering if you have a battery cut off switch and it was not turned off before the replacement.

I would do a battery reset, so disconnect for 30 mins. Re-attach then go for a 10 min drive so electronics can resets.

My other thought was a software update, but not sure if they would have done this.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for posting up. Great information for the archives.
Shows that not every noise is something to get really worried about.

9 hours is ridiculous what sort of service is that, sounds like give us your money and don’t call! & let’s bury the details in the small print.

Lets us know how you get on and best wishes on taking them on.

I stopped using RAC a while ago for a similar reason.
Sometimes even though you can’t get a good internet connection, at least the phone works so it is a real hassle.

I switched to Green Flag as they use local traders  & there will be someone nearer.

Also with RAC they would have deemed you as low priority so if someone else calls they will go higher up the list, so there is no guarantee on time. I know someone who waited over 6 hours.

Ah yes that’s quite far, some great roads though. I’ve been to Harlech in the winter so some slippery surfaces. 🙂

    Have a lovely weekend

    Hi Lin,

Welcome, the QP is a great car. Did you purchase private or a dealer.

Depending on where you live there should be a local indie, I’m in SW London.

There is a Christmas lunch 1/12 on the events page so a good opportunity to meet others.

    Happy motoring

    Tony

    Great news Stephen,

No point in taking risks with the brakes, I’d have down the same.

For the tube up give Mario’s  at https://www.autoshieldmaserati.co.uk a call. Although I’m in the South I have used him for my x-pipe and an inspection & he is very knowledgeable. also he might have know a good detailer.

    Hi Dave.

It was good speaking with you, thanks for the contact. Funnily enough I’m trying to negotiate the purchase of some after markets catalytic converters for the GS. These were made in Japan so very high quality.

I will add a tag to this list also so other members can use the search feature. I’ll see if she has a list of parts as I alway get asked for some at NEC

    Much appreciated

    Tony

    Hi Drew,

I’ve used https://www.giallo.co.uk in Kent, but not anymore as I live far away now. Give Sharon or Matthew a call & mention where you found their number from.

Regarding the rear bulb, there are plenty of QP owners here & I’m a member to & you can search  for some how to’s.

https://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php as I’ve only removed the rear seats in the 3200 & 4200.

There are some diagrams here, although parts based it might help but a bit of trawling around https://www.eurospares.co.uk/Ferrari.

Before you attempt a reset, check for any dirt or dirt that may have built up. Also check the sound when closing and make sure it’s smooth and scraping anywhere.

I’m not family with Glassgow, someone from the local area will hopefully post up.

These people are about an hour away, so maybe worth a call if there is no one local

    Hi Stewart,

Sorry, I’ve been away. Does you charger have an adapter to use the power outlet/cigarette lighter.

Am not sure if you have a GT or QP, as my only other suggestion at this point is to remove the seats and see what the problem is with the cable release.

If it took you three times to close, I don’t wonder if there was something lodged in the way.

    Where are you located
