ParticipantVery different with the Citroen era LHM system. As John says, with that and the big red/orange light comes on (it is very obvious – certainly on the Bora/Merak) you have one chance only!

ParticipantHi Christopher, I suppose it depends on the SatNav unit in the car, others may know more and what it needs. It might be NAVTEQ for the 4200 units?
My 2004 QPV had the Blaupunkt unit which took the Tele Atlas TravelPilot DX cds. I just looked on eBay for the latest one I could find – a 2009 (I think I paid about £40 for it).
None of the units back then were brilliant anyway so I mostly used my phone!

ParticipantHi Simon,
Any update as to how you got on?
Graham Wood
ParticipantOooops! and that is just the Dealers moving it around!

ParticipantHow was AutoItalia at Brands Hatch?
Annoyingly, we were only about 12 miles away on a personal engagement… so near, but so far…

ParticipantSounds like the battery in the first instance. How old is the battery (is it still the original and how old is the car)?
Follow Chris’s advice, make sure you have a decent of jump leads though.
I have a Suaoki U28 jump starter I carry around which will start upto an 8l petrol engine/6l diesel engine. It has been used successfully a number of times (even in a Eurotunnel queue helping a guy with his 5.4l E55 Merc – he was rather surprised my video cassette sized device started his car!!). There are probably newer/better ones available now.

ParticipantWe couldn’t make the Departure Lounge today Tony, was it a good one?
Good to hear you are doing the Wythyham Classic Car Rally as well.

ParticipantAnother way to do it (just as simple as David’s above) is after logging in click on ‘My Account’ then click on ‘Contact Details’ and just click on the image box to upload an image.
Agree with David it is nice to put a face to the name.

ParticipantHi Chris,
I just put the balance on my Amazon account. It’s much less hassle than the Lottery’ of will the Petrol Station deal with the card or not.

ParticipantHi David, I am not a GranTurismo owner but that does appear an odd shape from the image. Does the number plate marry up OK?
Eurospares quote ref: 80056900 for the UK (RHD) 2015 model (https://www.eurospares.co.uk/parts/maserati/granturismo-2015/all-pages/front-bumper-316296/80056900)

ParticipantIt is not the easiest process, but once you have done it they are quick to respond.
I did it a couple of months ago and got the card within a week.
I don’t faff around using at Garages for petrol, I just used it to top up my Amazon account, I can then buy a nice Maserati book!

ParticipantHi Maurice,
this is one place to check: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle/as this (probably) is what tfl will use to check vehicles.
bearing in mind the Coupe was still being manufactured in 2006 and therefore would have had to meet EURO 4 then hence why it could be both.
Probably worth talking to a Specialist to see if an EURO 3 one can be ‘upgraded’ to a EURO 4 – could just be a remap – could be more. If a car can be ‘upgraded’, I wonder how the tfl database accounts for that? Does it just go by registration date or it is more ‘intelligent’?

ParticipantHi David,
Yes, indeed, a common problem with 3200s.
In 16 years of ownership I am on my 3rd sender.
Mine reads 5 bar until warm, then drops to a consistent 3.5-4 bar and every once in a while will go into a frenzy for a minute or so as the gauge flicks from 0 to 4 and all over the place and then settles down again.
When I got a new sender, it would be absolutely fine for a few years (between 3-5).
Obviously, this is something which is important to work properly, but with availability issues etc. we just have to live with.
I believe there may be ‘other solutions’ available.
