    You could also keep a diary of the restoration (words & images & costs – if you dare!) and use it for the basis of an article (or series of articles) to go in our Trident magazine – our Editor Simon Park would be keen I am sure!

    I am sure there will be someone out there who can help you (although the photos may be more of a problem!)

    It would be great if you keep posting your progress with the project, and I am sure at some point we will see it at a Club event.

    Some more great videos Mick!

    That bus was a little wide at the beginning of the Limone sul Garda one…… and I wondered what the noise was at around 7 minutes, then realised it was the rumble strips on the road!

    Lovely contrasting views to the ‘pass’ videos…. reckon the wife can cope with these roads.

    Nice dry weather too!

    Sadly, not really an option for me, as the wife does not do ‘passes’!

    Superb videos Mick! Must admit, I would be taking it a little more cautiously in the 3200 with that amount of water on the roads!

    Just back from the MIR – another great trip! Some great roads in Tuscany….. if you can put up with the very poor road surfaces…..

    The UK numbers can be obtained from this website: https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/

    So as of Q1 2017, 550 currently taxed, and 19 on SORN.

    Someone else may have a way to get worldwide figures (other than contacting the factory).

    Current Maserati policy is that they will not guarantee to supply parts for models that are more than 10 years out of production.

    As Rex says the network of independent garages will do their best to ensure solutions are available, and try to source suitable replacements.

    Maybe this will change with the current volumes of the new models now being sold, but, understandably when there are only a few hundred of a particular model on the road (or far less), there will not be an endless supply of parts and the will to provide them ongoing.

    Totally agree Mick. Online is great, but the feel of the Trident in your hands is always a great pleasure.

    I think the content is about right, but, obviously the more members can do to contribute their own Maserati experiences increases the diversity, and I am sure Simon would support this!

    It does appear they are unavailable at the moment (checked with McGrath Maserati earlier this morning).

    If hydrogen can be produced efficiently (most certainly not at the moment), that too will be a viable alternative. I believe there are currently 3 hydrogen powered cars on the market at the moment.

    This would be my favoured way forward, as, if the appropriate research is continued into the production processes of hydrogen, this will be greener than electricity.

    It will interesting to see how things progress over the next couple of years…..

    His comment about it being for the ‘next range’ due in 2020 are interesting!

    They announced last year there will be a hybrid Levante in 2018. I cannot see a purely standalone electric model being produced by 2020, rather electric versions of the next generation models. They have until 2040 in the UK from what I hear is happening in Blighty!

    FCA were talking about an electric version of the Alfieri a year ago – so it all depends on when the Alfieri will finally make production…..

    But, of course….. electric Masers are old hat…….
