So fitted ok – how did it read? Seem to be reasonable cost too.

Seems mad that so many are having issues with insurance renewals recently.

    Click

The issue is the actual cloning, as I say I have a machine, so cost of doing it is minimal.

Took the car to HR Owen at Hatfield today, they took all the details of the car and me, hopefully get the CoC sometime next week.

They were very welcoming and was a pleasant experience.

Here is a link to what I actually did. I would happily lend you the machine / do it for you but obviously distance is a bit of an issue.

Hi – there are probably a few options but the easiest is to clone the chip of your other key.

    Where are you based?

I had an extra key that was missing a chip (probably lost when someone changed the battery, I managed to get a replacement and cloned it, all works fine now.

The cut off date is more to do with whether the NOX levels are recorded ofn the vehicle registration, not whether they are compliant. They had relied on the homologation papers, far more would be compliant but less profitable.

A number of items in the 3200 became sticky, steering column shroud, dash vents etc. I gently cleaned them but this left them looking and feeling like hard plastic (but at least not sticky) so I opted to spray them with a soft touch paint.

I used the Plastidip rubber spray (both black and clear} it has been on for a couple of years and achieved what i wanted although i dont know how robust it is or how long.

There is also another product called tactile which was 2-3 times the price, maybe i was being tight or it was just being unsure if spraying the items would work, but would possibly consider trying this if / when the plastidip finish fails.

That being said I have not used it on switches or dials yet.

Well the weather was ok for the most part and I think we had a pretty good turn out with some interesting cars! It was good to meet up with fellow club members, some old friends and some for the first time. We were once again given a prime spot which is a bonus and with the Maserati cars of non (potential future) members parked adjacent I think the brand was well represented, yes there were a few things we could improve on but hopefully that is something we can readdress next year.

Thank-you to everyone that attended and I hope you had a good day.
