Hi, I learnt this week that the reason my spare key won’t start my 3200 is because the transponder chip is missing from it.  It will open the car only.

Could anyone let me know where I can obtain a new chip to be coded?

    Thanks

    Paul

Hi – there are probably a few options but the easiest is to clone the chip of your other key.

    Where are you based?

I had an extra key that was missing a chip (probably lost when someone changed the battery, I managed to get a replacement and cloned it, all works fine now.

Hi, I’m based near Ross on Wye.  I reckon the same has happened with my spare key, the chip has fallen out and lost by the previous owner.

So I guess I just need to do what you did?

Here is a link to what I actually did. I would happily lend you the machine / do it for you but obviously distance is a bit of an issue.

It should be a T5 transponder.

Hi, maybe I’m going mad but I still don’t see a link?

    Click

The issue is the actual cloning, as I say I have a machine, so cost of doing it is minimal.
