I think to some degree all have a part to play.

For me the Forum should be the main resource, to be honest I have not had any real issues with logging in etc, at least for using the forum. We just need to keep promoting it / attracting users.

WhatApp I think as people have already said would be useful for events and local groups?

With regard to instagram and facebook it just seemed bad to have inactive accounts, worse than not having them as it seemed to imply nothing was going on in the club?  It is good to see the club has started to add some photos to the instagram account, I often tag the club in. It would be nice if the Facebook page could be looked at at some point – positive moves so far.

This is one of the busier threads which somehow seems wrong?

There is probably an add on that could be used to make posting photos easier.

The Facebook page also seems a bit clunky and slow, or is it just me?

I have not noticed any posts on the Facebook page, I have posted a few times but seems less used than the forum!

WWould it be possible to have a few designated people able to post on the Instagram account? That way it wouldn’t be down to one person relying on receiving content instead have posts from areas and events as the occur. Would help the club remain current.

Do you feel it is just a case of needing volunteers?

There are 16 names in the clubs “who’s who” yet probably only 2 or 3 contribute to the forum on a regular basis?

The instagram account has no post, surely it would be fairly easy for some photos from events etc to be added? I would imagine there would be a few already posting from events, just not on the club account.

Its a similar story with the Facebook page, although I realise that not everyone is into social meadia or online activity, it does seem that Maserati owners (or club members at least) are less keen than others.

Apologies – with regards to the comment about committee members, there are a few exceptions, however overall very few are visible.

Maybe the WhatsApp should / could be looked into? Also some work on the Facebook or Instagram accounts?

A WhatsApp group could possibly help connect members and promote communication, although I do feel that ideally some more could be done to increase forum use – its rare to see any input from the committee for a start! The club could be a lot more visible noth online and in the real world.

If i’m honest I am not convinced a WhatsApp group would be any better supported, I always feel that the club is quite disjointed, with the odd little group who like to keep to themselves, this is probably true of many clubs / organisations but not all.

In many ways forums are quite outdated however they are a good way to share technical info that may help others which is easy to find and use or add to.

    Thanks Tony,

What info did you have to give? Was it all done with the chassis number or did you have to tell them the info for the cards?

Thanks for the help on this!

So the transponders I bought arrived as did the programer / reader that I took a chance on. This morning I had a go at copying , programming the new transponder. In all honesty I wasnt really expecting it to work, however it seems I now have another working key! So if anyone else is missing a transponder i hopefully should be able to help.

    Cheers

It will be interesting to see how many and how long the new green vehicles stay on the road. Then how there footprint compares over the lifetime of the vehicle compared to the many 50+ year old vehicles we still have today.

I think it’s important for us to strive for greener and more efficiency but feel that we should set goals rather than just dictate how we get there – electricity is not automatically green!

So lots of manufactures under one umbrella? In the world we live in I can see the possible benifits of sharing costs etc. but will that lead to more common platforms and more rebadging of models? Often some brands seem less important but I guess it stops them dissapearing altogether – will Lancia ever reappear?

Makes me think of an international BL only based in the Netherlands!

Strangely it seems the surface to the steering column cover on my 3200 is also suffering, anyone else?
