ParticipantHi Julian, you don’t mention who is undertaking the restoration work so I’m listing the usual go to for any older parts:
https://www.emblemsportscars.com
Let us know how you get on with these suppliers.
Best wishes

ParticipantThat’s a real shame and hardly any miles done.

ParticipantThanks for posting up some photos, I see the sun was shining so a good day out and some lovely cars on display.

ParticipantWhen I had my 3200, the electrics went a bit strange when the battery was flat. I would charge or replace the battery then do a reset. I would always disable the alarm before disconnecting the battery cable.

ParticipantNot familiar with this model.
Have you tried greasing them to see if this helps with the noise. Looking at the parts diagram it looks like there is a popper and maybe some screws at the bottom. See if this link helps.

ParticipantWell done and thanks for posting up how you got on. Enjoy the bank holiday.

ParticipantWhen I had mine I had Larinis fitted, however I suspect a lot more than your budget,
https://www.mijexhaust.com will build custom exhaust to your liking and much cheaper at around £500.00
http://www.v8wizard.com/Maserati_3200GT_Silenced.php better quality, higher price and much louder sound
Also speak to the Maserati Shed, he might still have stock of the exhausts he had, good quality, price and a good sound.
So it really depends on what sound you are looking for and how much you want to spend.
There is a pair of OEM boxes on eBay for £1307.55 plus £15.05 for delivery if you want a straight replacement.
btw I looked at all of the above before going with the Larinis.

ParticipantHello Mike,
I’m not convinced that because your driving style is smoother this will increase tyre wear based on the current setup. This appears more like wheel alignment is out, I’m not aware of any specific settings. I would suggest you speak to the dealer and ask them to check the the preferred factory settings if these are documented when doing the geometry.
Generally if you have equal wear across across then this would indicate your are driving gently otherwise you’d have more wear say on the insides if your putting your foot down 🙂
Happy Easter

ParticipantAll of those will be able to do a good job, I’m guessing the price difference is the labour charge which does vary across the country. McGraths are now servicing the more modern cars and provide a great service. They will also tell you anything else that requires doing as guidance notes. So you can choose whether to have them done.
I’m going to visit them in a few weeks for the open day so if they are near you pop along and have a look at their facilities.
Have you thought about calling them and see if the others price match or lower the price. Otherwise, they are all good options to use.

ParticipantNot aware where these can be sourced Joe, I’d start by contacting either http://www.mcgrathmaserati.co.uk who look after the older cars or http://www.davidaskew.co.uk who is a good source of parts.
Is there a part number stamped on as its likely used by other manufacturers.

ParticipantHas the dealer carried out a diagnostic check to ensure it’s the module. Otherwise oil error can indicate other issues eg end float, oil sender.
If they are sure its the module, have you tried any of the usual suppliers for used parts eg David Askew or eurospares.
btw which dealer is the car with.

ParticipantI’m not a fan of wd40 on this type of task, if it’s damp then drying out would be a good start. I once borrowed my wife’s hairdryer to do a similar job. Whilst you’re in there check the carpets for dampness to make sure no water is getting in. Also make sure the hood is nice and tight just in case.
Tony Jaskeran
ParticipantCould be condensation, especially if it’s been very damp and wet where you are then drying out, otherwise the sensor could be failing. If it is then it will get gradually worse & you’ll have to replace it.
Tony Jaskeran
ParticipantFirst thought is condensation or moisture somewhere, second thought is a loose fuse or relay.
Also have a look at the indicator covers and check the seal in case some moisture is getting in there.
If it snowed where you are then this may have caused moisture or heavy the heavy rain we have been having.
Btw – that’s a lovely car.
