    John

I got tyres last October and actually paid less than i would have done using the Pirelli deal which as you know you HAVE to use one of their approved suppliers. So, exactly the same tyres from a tyre place near me which CRAZILY was a branch of a supplier which has some branches approved and  others not and it was cheaper to use the branch that wasn’t approved and not take the Pirelli deal!

i did it again and it was my mistake there were none. BUT there is a Merak clutch cylinder repair kit made by AUTOFREN SEINSA if you didn’t need anything more.

I dont believe what i saw -but on the autodoc.co.uk website which is the same company  i would imagine as some of the others you see out of interest I put in clutch slave cylinder for a Merak and was offered a big choice. Cheap as well .

I have done this before with an old BMW and found the same and ended up with a new clutch slave for under £30 and it works and it wasn’t available from BMW.

You will have to be very careful i would think as it was too easy and you could end up wasting money or having to send it back.

    Too good to be true?

Same with Eversure who’s premiums are very competitive ! Not sure how old they will go back though.

Jon I have a Nov 2019 GT as well and as epic notes you cant turn the sound up and hardly ever hear anything. Never been a problem but if you do leave them then there is a sensor and you will get an audible warning after bit of time- i haunt timed it. – I have had it happen.

You could perhaps try and get info from Maserati customer services in Italy IF you are the owner of the car. No good asking UK  customer services as they  not that exist anyone and all done from Italy.

Its an email asking for copy of the “build spec sheet” and this will need the owner to prove he/she owns it which is done my attaching PDF copy of your equivalent of the UK V5. So i guess its the Irish Vehicle Registration Certificate?

Your prob is you are not the owner BUT if he/she wants to sell it to you –why not ask if he wouldn’t mind doing it- a good test anyway perhaps !

I emailed them last week about a warranty clarification and got an answer back the next day. Nothing lost for trying.

I have had 2 GT one older and now one late 2019. I haven’t done it on the latest but on the previous i put on stickers that i got from Halfords =they look exactly the same as Eurolites you mention. Pealed them off when we came back.

Certainly dont want to buy any- its VEERY expensice as you will well know !

    Andy,

    Well spotted Jacky.

I have no idea -other than seeing a few “Google” references using his name and Maserati –but there are a few references to him being a Maserati owner/driver which might explain the reference. The quotes are however edited and could be about another person due to Google editing/shortenning. Still I am sure “Modena” would be very happy to be powerful charismatic and graceful.

in reply to: Best car insurance company for GT 2007? #16822

Have you just tried the internet comparison websites? e.c. GoCompare. In October 21 i got quotes from £480-700 for my GT on them when the club policy and other main insurers etc were up in the £1200-1400. I do have a good NCB though which maybe your particular issue- although if you have transferred from another car I have never been asked why i drove before. Good Luck!
