ParticipantAlthough I suspect they would not be provided as standard but as an option with associated cost in any case.

ParticipantA good point Graham!

ParticipantMaserati as a brand and to some degree as a club / clubs seem very quiet (or missing) from many events. Would expect them to have more visibility at Goodwood, although not been the case at the events I have been to over the years.

ParticipantAm not convinced by the lifetime promises either and continue to use a combination of “normal” polishes. mainly AutoGlym but have been impressed with “Poorboys Black Hole” products on the 3200 which is black. seems to give a nice finish with reasonable effort, some other products seemed to be a lot of hard work and I was often dissapointed with the final result. That being said the 3200’s paintwork is a bit tired now.

ParticipantThanks for sharing – keep them coming!

ParticipantI would agree with Graham, probably best to replace / upgrade with something aftermarket.

ParticipantSounds like it was a good day – thanks for sharing the photos.

ParticipantI wonder how many others have made use of this and what the result was?

ParticipantMany thanks for the update.
As you say hopefully some “new” people will get involved in the committee and events, which I would hope help things along. It is easy for people to be put off and therefore not want to get attend events or participate it club events. However if the club is aware that sometimes this could be happening, things will improve and the club and all its members will benifit.
Would just like to add that I have met some great people both through the club and Maserati ownership.
Hopefully we can get some more people involved in the forum etc too!

ParticipantWould be nice to see some photos etc.

ParticipantWould be interested to know how this went.

ParticipantChris,
Thanks for taking the time to respond, I would agree that that the approach you are suggesting is the right one.
I too joined the club left and rejoined, I did think long and hard before posting about this but decided it worth doing.
The intention was not to be negative but instead hopefully provoke some thought or conversation.
The forum appears to only have a small number of active members, I have no idea if others visit but do not post. Would there be any merit in somehow engaging with the membership as a whole to see if other members have any thoughts or suggestions?
Kind Regards
Lee

ParticipantThank you for the reply.
I suspect as Chairman you could possibly be less aware of how some members may perceive things. I fully appreciate that friendships etc are formed. Also it should be expected that any group of people will be exactly that a group, with a mix of personalities.
I have met some nice people within the club but have also encountered a few that seem less than warm. It way well be a weakness on my part however, I am aware of others that have sometimes felt the club is not as approachable as it should be.
Maybe it would help if the club was involved in some less formal events, or regional meetings? Maybe they it already is?
How many members does the club have? How many of them attend events?
How do members communicate? I would have expected more communication on the forum?
My intention is not to be negative but to hopefully engage in some discussion which would help the club feel more inclusive and possibly even be better?
