ParticipantMy Series 1 Quattroporte if I’m not mistaken. Good to know it’s still around!

ParticipantHi David, Assuming you are taking the tunnel or the short sea crossing I’d head across northern France through Champagne and then down to Rouen which is Burgundy country, great area to stop if you like the wine. Some years ago the Club stayed at a Relais Chateau hotel in Champagne called the Briquiterie which I’d recommend though any Relais et Chateau hotel is generally great but expensive. From Burgundy you can then head over to the Mont Blanc tunnel into northern Italy. If you want to stay somewhere nice en route from Burgundy to the tunnel then we ski at Megeve and stay at Les Fermes de Marie – great hotel! Sorry I can’t be more precise.

ParticipantMartin, write to Eric Toft at [email protected] and ask him to list it in events and if there’s another ‘what’s on’ email coming out you could ask him to add it to that. Bit far away for us in Scotland!

ParticipantI wonder who on the Committee could flag this up toPirelli!

ParticipantI agree with Simon plus the charges seem very reasonable when I am covered to drive anyone else’s car with the owners permission – bring on your supercars please no risk!

ParticipantI’d reckon they are just moving budgets around. As well as the presence at the Motor Show at the circuit they’ve had a lunch at Goodwood House on Revival Sunday for many years and I’d guess they thought it had run it’s course. Or are early sale sioif the MC20 so strong they feel that they don’t need to promote the car further. Who knows

ParticipantPerfect Binding gives Trident a contemporary and smarter look! I like it and don’t find it an issue to read. That said I thought the content of this issue very interesting and involving. Well done Andy. Usual disclaimers as he is a friend!

ParticipantI’m with Locktons and you need to remember that the valuations only last two years before requiring to be renewed. Take care as it’s easy to miss this when renewing and the value then reverts to market value. That said I think Lockton’s are excellent and having the ability to drive friends cars (with their permission) is a big thing as well as hassle free additions and deletions during the year.!

ParticipantHi Paul, Just looked at the Carplastix website and staggered at the prices! And also interesting to see that Ferrari and Lamborghini have the same problem. I think I’ll give them a miss.

ParticipantHi David,
I used mine at the local Esso station yesterday without a problem. Now wondering what to do with the £4 .99 balance that’s on the card! I’ll find a way to use it I’m sure.

ParticipantTwo buckets? What’s that about.
And be careful with the tyre stuff as I ruined a pair of trousers when I dripped some on my knee.

ParticipantHi Simon,
I can’t see past Loctons. They are for me very competitive insuring a number of cars together including our daily drivers. There’s no charge for changing, adding or removing cars during the year and they have this amazing ability for you to drive any other car and be comprehensively insured. And in return you can let anyone over 35 drive your car and be fully insured with no need in either case to go to Lockton’s for approval.
Hope that helps.
