Thanks to everyone that responded! I ended up putting the car on my Admiral Platinum insurance which already insures my daily and the wife’s mini. The only problem is they don’t provide any track day full stop so I will have to take separate cover elsewhere when needed. Just out of interest does anyone else need to replicate this??

I managed to get the MOT completed and as I mentioned before many were secondhand for the suspension, however, I decided not to skip on the front brake disks – pistons in calipers were seized so I managed to get a good set of reconditioned ones. My mechanic struggled removing the suspension as the car has been sat for two years by the previous owner and in hindsight I think this is what prompted him to sell!

Hi Tony,

Chris from Scuderia has been  helping me out going through the failed MOT parts, so a big thanks to you! The only trouble is the suspension arm rod is not sold separately from the whole lower wishbone/foot and they want 1700+vat! Story short I’ve managed to buy a selvage one for 130 from eBay…happy days ??

Hi guys, I’ve not been on here long and was surprised how little engagement we get here. Hi David, apologies for the very delayed response! I’m in Lancashire on the Fylde coast so not a million miles especially if any events are close to the border, what are the events that take place as I’m sure if it’s more than a coffee and a bacon butty I could get over on occasions.
