I have a 2017 Maserati GranCabrio Sport and am about to put personal plates on the car. The current plates are held on with Tape and I was wondering if it was possible to install brackets front and back without drilling any new holes, and avoid these of tape to hold the actual plates?

    Hi Eric,

The rears are normally stuck on with tape to avoid drilling holes in the boot. The front does have a bracket but it’s location makes it very low and vulnerable, often it gets hit resulting in a new bracket and/or sometimes a new plate if damaged as it delaminates its an MOT failure. Also when hitting the bracket it enlarges the locating holes which eventually will need plugging and if its a carbon difusser they will need bonding in. I gave up with brackets and stuck mine on the difusser leading edge and the lower grill lip. I have a reasonable bracket if you want it.

    regards Eric
