I have owned a GTS for 11 years but the gearbox still baffles me but a tip I was given some years ago certainly helps low speed manoeuvrability particularly when the engine is cold
When starting the car turn the ignition on then depress the accelerator fully and release before firing the engine no one seems to know why it works but it certainly does
