Grancabrio seat controls not working

Hi,

does anyone know how to fix the driver side seat controls?  The seat won’t move forward when trying to get someone in the back, the controls work for about 5 seconds on start up and then that’s it. The display says the comfort is on but the seat never heats.

To reset the seat I switch the ignition on but do not start the engine. Next I move the seat forward and back twice and then switch ignition off. I then turn ignition on and start the engine. The seat then normally works correctly.

I think I’ve tried this before something about doing it quickly or something but will try again.  Fingers crossed.

The comfort switch is a rotary control like a volume knob and they either wear out the track or the track contact arm comes off.

If your are handy (and very patient) you can dismantle the switch and refix the track arm, alternative is get a replacement.

If you go down this route with the seat side panel off you can see the micro switch that activates the seat movement, it could be out of line, seized or bad contacts.

Use the reset process if you fix or replace.
