    I found out from my local dealer that there was a map update available for the Ghibli III, mines a 2015 car and has 2013 maps on it. So far the dealer has had a couple of attempts to apply the update, which is done by the dealer using a pair of USB sticks, without any success. They’ve already had a replacement set of USB sticks from Maserati so think it maybe something they are doing wrong.

    I would really like to get this update done before heading off on our European sojourn at the end of August and was wondering whether anyone else with a new Ghibli had had the maps successfully updated?

    I’m really looking to see whether I should persevere with the local dealer or try one further afield.

    Hi Mick,

    firstly, Post notification worked a treat!

    Secondly, really surprised the Dealer cannot update the maps! Now the ‘good old days’ of just inserting a CD have gone…..

    I can see from a quick google others have had their maps updated, maybe worth checking out those posts and asking the dealership to check with a dealership who have successfully updated them. Dick Lovetts at Swindon appear to be able to do it…..

    Hi Graham,

    I got a notification email too.

    Unfortunately Dick Lovett is a little too far from me up here in York. I’m going to give the local dealer until the end of the month and then it looks like HG Owen in Stockport will be my best bet. It will mean losing at least half a day to get it done though.

    Interestingly I know of someone else that is having issues with the same dealer around satnav issues. Based on that I’m going to contact the next two closest dealers and see if they’ve managed a successful update.

    I’ve left it for now. Speaking to another dealer the map updates appear to still be quite old so I’ll probably wait for the next update. Hopefully the process will have been sorted by then.
