Winning ways in Saturnia

← Back to News

For many, the way to Saturnia started with the superb Bennett ‘Saturnia Stopover’ tour – a relaxed way to get to the MIR via Burgundy, the Alps and “Motor Valley” in Emilia Romagna.

After settling in to the rally hotel there was then time on the Vallelunga track, a boat trip to two Tuscan islands, some excellent roads for taking in the scenery (but not necessary the best surfaces!), a visit to delightful Orvieto, a spa hotel with fragrant hot springs, and a year’s supply of antipasto to eat each day, the attending club members will all have fond memories of this year’s MIR based in Saturnia.

To round off an excellent adventure, we had three concours winners:

Michael Roberts (Indy) with a 1st place in the ‘Post-Classiche’ category

Julia Hitchon (GranCabrio) with a 2nd place in the ‘Moderne’ category

Edwin Faulkner (QPI) with a 3rd place in the ‘Classiche’ category

Well done all!

and a special award for Norman & Katrina Geddes for the ‘Furthest Distance Travelled’.
