The Auto Italia Northern event at Raby Castle in County Durham was held on Saturday, September 5th, 2020. A fine collection of ‘Supercars’ was on display around the Castle Terrace, overlooking the lake. I counted fifteen Maseratis, and there were at least seventeen familiar faces from the UK Maserati Club. Across the terrace there was also a good cross-section of other makes of Italian sports cars, including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Innocenti and Fiat – the latter two being interesting examples in their own right, however, maybe not truly ‘supercars’. In the open area outside the Castle itself were well-attended groups of car clubs with Fiats, Abarths, Lancias, Alfa Romeos and Ferraris looking spendid in the field.
Well done to the Auto Italia team for setting up the event and ensuring all the arrangements on the day went smoothly with safety and welfare of cars and attendees being the top priority, and to the Raby Castle and Estates team too.
