My first visit to Silverstone this year was the Silverstone Classic [26/27/28 July] preview day. A sunny drive but then it clouded over and changed to the usual Silverstone chill on my arrival.
Although there were not any Maseratis at the Preview Day, I am sure there will be some present in July. Although Maserati less there was still plenty going on to keep me interested.
Apart from our Club stand other highlights will be: –
-The Centenary of Bentley, founded in 1919.
-The 60th anniversary of the Mini.
-The 50th anniversary of the Ford Capri.
-A Twilight Tribute to Le Mans.
-The debut race for the new Aston Martin Heritage Racing Festival Series.
-Introduction of the new charity partner – Alzheimer’s Research UK.
-The 70th anniversary of Abarth, the 60th anniversary of the Austin Healey 3000 and the 50th anniversary of the Triumph TR6 amongst others.
-The race card will feature historic F1, F2 and F3 grids.
-Evening Rock concerts.
-Did I mention the Maserati Club stand !
