The new format for 2018’s Northern Lights, as an evening dinner with the option of an overnight stay at a luxury hotel, proved to be very popular and with few concerns about the wintry weather hampering travel arrangements. Members had the whole of Saturday to make their way to the hotel and then the whole of Sunday for their return journey home.
With sixty three Club members attending Rookery Hall Hotel and Spa near Nantwich, Cheshire, for Dinner on Saturday, January 27th it proved this new formula would be a winner.
Thanks to all the effort put into this by Robert Crooks and Stella Kriticos, Club members were able to relax and take in all that the lovely venue had to offer and with the added possibility of Saturday afternoon test drives that were on offer courtesy of H R Owen, who brought several of the latest models of Maseratis.
Robert says that having the cars there was a great add-on to the event and lots of people took the opportunity for a drive, often in cars they had not driven before. Everybody he spoke to was thoroughly impressed, particularly with the Petrol Levante and QPVI GTS.
After an evening of fine food and excellent company, local band Hard Candi played into the night, with plenty of popular songs that had a good number of Members up and dancing.
