The Maserati Club Committee would like to inform all members that Ken Painter, one the founding members of the Club, has passed away, aged 83. A career in the RAF saw Ken stationed in Singapore during the 1960s, where he found and started the restoration of his first Maserati, a pre-war 4CS. On his return to the UK, he attended the inaugural meeting of the Maserati Club, where he was voted onto the first Committee and became the first editor of Trident magazine.

A regular attendee at Club events, in retirement Ken returned to the Committee, where he took the role of Club Secretary. He was also a regular member of the team that manned the Club stand at the NEC Classic Car Show as well as a frequent contributor to Trident. He made an enormous contribution to the Maserati Club and offered wise counsel to many a Committee member over the years. The Club extends its sincere condolences to his sons Adam and Saul, his two daughters Rachel and Ruth and their families. There will be an obituary in the next Trident.

His funeral service to be held at Colney Wood Norwich, NR4 7TY on Friday 8th April 2022 at 15:00. If you wish to attend please contact [email protected]
