There are lots of driving adventures and they broadly fall into two categories. Those organised driving tours arranged by companies such as Classic Grand Touring run by Thomas Brimblecombe taking you to places, events, race meetings etc. Then there are the driving challenges with tests of your driving skills and your navigator’s skill, not to mention the test of your car’s reliability. There are several companies to choose, such as Hero that organise events throughout the year such as the Winter Challenge, Scottish Malts, Summer Trial, 1000 Mile Trial, Rally of The Tests, Le Jog, London to Lisboa and one of the very first of the modern driving tests “The Classic Marathon”.
Then there is the Endurance Rally Association which organise some of the best international events like the Peking to Paris, Rally of The Incas, the Classic Safari Challenge and the Alpine Trial. Finally, the new comer to the business, Rally Round founded by a Davis Wenman and his wife organising this year Paris to Vienna, The Hakka Classic in New Zealand and last year the Thunder Dragon Rally in Bhutan.
