Dave Smith writes “The weather behaved itself being the usual Silverstone blue sky – chilly wind – sometimes sunny. There was more to see this year with a fairground, impressive army display plus a few car club and trade stands. The impression I got was Saturday was more “Classic Weekend” on a smaller scale with plenty of spectators and Sunday was more like a VSCC race meeting and not so crowded – still well worth a visit.
There were 3 Maseratis present; 250F [#2522/2523] which did not race, 250F [#2526] and 300S [#3035/3052], a good 2 days racing and I look forward to next year’s event. Editor permitting a full report will appear in the Summer Trident.”
