Another brilliant show put on by Edwin Faulkner where not only did our Club win the Best Large Stand award, we also scooped the Best Car of the Show Award with Tony Young’s magnificent Ghibli Spyder Targa Top. Tony and Jean presented this car in truly wonderful form and were present during the whole show to inform the eager public about the re-generation of this car over the past thirty years.
Our show cars were mainly the Racing Heritage with a 250F, the 151/3 “Racing Van” and Richard Wilson’s 250S that has had a fantastic year with many trophies and podium finishes. So much silverware we thought it might put a dent in the bonnet but Richard insisted that it should be on show.
We also had two road cars, Edwin’s QP1 and Tony Young’s sparking Ghibli.
As Maserati used to supply other car makers with engines, we also had a line-up of Cooper Maserati’s including three T51’s, and two Cooper Monaco’s including Michael O’Shea’s car. If you read the last Newsletter – it was complete with the engine !!!. Well done Michael.
