Rumours doing the rounds that the Trident might appear on the side of the  Haas F1!

I think Ferrari needed a junior team, as a feeder, to spead engine use / development cost and also to maintain plenty of weight within F1 talks / rule changes in the future.

The drivers would be lining up for a drve in that case!

Although to be fair prior to leaving F1 Maserati built some proper racers.

Good to see the cars are gaining appreciation in europe and as you say, hopefully the same will happen in the UK. For my part I think they are seriously undervalued, part of the issue has been the attitude of many maserati groups / enthusiast’s in the UK.

I am not looking to sell / profit from mine but think it would be good if values increased so as to ensure survival of more cars etc.

I think you are probably right, although I suspect a few more options will appear with some forms of hybrid leading the way. Electric vehicles have been given a helping hand, with free parking etc for them but that will not last once they are in the majority. Electricity is clean once it has been generated but generating it is still an issue.

I also wonder about the environmental impact of updating to the latest green vehicle every few years rather than maintaining something a little longer. Is it true that the creation of a vehcle has the biggest environmental impact? If so maybe owning a Maserati long term isn’t quite so bad? I think I can convince myself of that argument ….

Always loved the Merak (and Bora) and nearly bought one once, but place selling was hopeless, wouldn’t budge on price and ended up selling for half what I offered! That being said it may of been a lucky escape!

Also have a thing for the Khamsin but suspect I have missed the boat on the old classics now.
