ParticipantI did – but just before the deadline!

ParticipantNot sure with a SORN vehicle – but thanks to Covid 19 I believe your MOT is currently automatically extended by 6 months (although I believe the DoT is reviewing this) – google ‘when is my MOT due’ on the gov.uk site and it will tell you – if that makes sense. If it hasn’t been I think you can email them and request it. (I’m aware of this as for convenience, I wish to extend mine by a month to August so have been doing a bit of research). However I also think – but you’d have to check – if your MOT has expired you may drive to a garage to get it done, as long as you have an appointment, etc.
Hope that helps

ParticipantFreesat gives us More4 (I think) so I’ll do the same – many thanks for the heads up

ParticipantThanks for the tips guys – I’ll get Rob on the case. And it is nothing to do with how Rob shut the bonnet – I got it flashing last week too!! – so maybe it’s Roary’s way of saying “thanks – you’re driving me properly”?…..

ParticipantThanks for that Tony – I did wonder how well the bonnet had been shut (not wanting to spill beans but Rob did it rather than me!!) – although I would have no idea where the sensor may be)

ParticipantHailing from Worcester I am even further away – but we turned it into a lovely drive avoiding motorways, etc

ParticipantI took my 02 Spyder to SportsItalia in Southampton – it required major surgery (I suspected it was rather poorly!!). And they gave it some underbody treatment (and have done so to a variety of models – sadly in some instances the poor owner is oblivious to the sorry state they are in until shown). I would 100% recommend them

ParticipantYes – I’ve read good reviews about Dale

ParticipantSorry Richard – I’m in the midlands. Have you tried McGraths -they may not be too far and are highly recommended. My canvas, I’m sure, is well over 7 or 8 years old and although I do have problems (the ‘release pin’ in the body of the car sometimes plays up) I do not have that issue.
Good luck

ParticipantAre you still having problems with your roof Richard? We had/have several issues with ours (apparently it’s quite common). Often because some rubber bands fail (as remarkable as it sounds!! – it is a Maserati…) It’s possibly best to take it to a specialist – where do you live and I might be able to point you in the right direction.
From what I gather it’s bad idea to not let it do its full cycle on a regular basis (ie wait till the roof has gone down/up and the windows have closed) otherwise it gets upset and can go on strike!!
Hope that helps.
