ParticipantHad a bit of fun with a couple of chaps from the SportsMaserati forum on Saturday and took a bit of video to show off more of our beautiful countryside.

ParticipantOops. I did it again 🙂
Just got back from taking our new car down through France and into Spain. This is from near the end of the trip, there will be more to come from earlier, order isn’t important.

ParticipantSome nice and appropriate use of the loud pedal!
Looking forward to more…

ParticipantYour wish is my command. This is from earlier in the holiday. I’ve still not owned the car for a week at this point and I’m a little tentative still.
You can tell the earlier video is from later into the trip. I’ve settled into driving the Levante and don’t hold back 🙂

Participantyes, a little more ‘relaxed’ than the later one (‘fortississimo’!), but still ‘forte’ on the loud pedal!

ParticipantI’m starting the next one, and there’s a little more loud pedal use in it. Its the last sunny one. There will be two more to come I think, but the weather is a little miserable for them which reduces the usable camera angles as the side camera gets covered in spray too quickly to be usable.

ParticipantThe next pass was the Col d’Aubisque. Sadly the road was closed at the top so we had to turn around and come back down. Still, it was worth it for the drive up and down.

ParticipantThe next day the weather had closed in which was a shame as I was looking forward to driving over the Col du Tourmalet. It cleared enough for the drive but everything was a little more tentative and the rain and spray rendered the views from the external cameras pretty much useless.
One more video to come from this set. Though this is another damp one so I’ll have to see what I can get out of the footage.

ParticipantHaving been stuck in with the lockdown I decided that the only thing was to take the Levante to the shop early in the morning. The sun was shining, the roads empty, a short bit of fun ensued –

ParticipantNice one Mick!
We enjoyed our (hire) Levante S GranSport driving around the Western Cape a couple of weeks ago – just made in back in time!

ParticipantNot helped by FlyBE going down…
But that is a long story based on how we planned our trip to start from Southampton Airport… then to Amsterdam, then to LHR then to Johannesburg and back… (50% cheaper than just flying from LHR on the same flight!).
