I thought the Spring 2020 Trident was excellent- a much better balance between reviews of events and other content. Now that events have been cancelled, this could be a great opportunity to widen the range – to include more stories like how members got into Maserati and bought their cars (like the perfect Maserati 4.24v) , owner cars (range of contributors diarising life with their different Maserati’s) reviews of new products for Maserati’s, meet a member – a bio of either a club member, or a Maserati bod (like the Bernard Guenant article), the best from Forums to think of but a few……What do others think?

And while am I thinking (and I am sure the committee have considered all this) might the newsletter be better by email? It could be used to drive traffic to the website and make that more relevant, save costs and save the planet? On the forum – why keep people out? Our 700 members are a fraction of the community…why not draw people in and work with other forums  such as SportsMaserati and Maserati Life? Our forum is very quiet…..On membership why not offer reduced 1st year membership or commission l deals with places like Emblem, McGrath’s and the new and used Maserati  dealer network for including the clubs details with their invoices or new car owner handover process?

I don’t want to appear negative – the events are great, I enjoy Trident, I am just challenging the operating model….how has it changed over the last 5 year? I get everyone does their best with no resources but can’t help thinking we could do a lot more given the interest in cars at the moment…

Rant over – I am back to the garden
