The aura of Maserati

Jacky Wood spotted a really good Maserati reference on Radio 4 this week – Melvyn Bragg ‘In Our Time’ on the subject of charisma. They are talking about charisma and leadership and the comment is about George Washington as a charismatic leader, powerful, graceful, strong,  riding in on one of the most expensive horses of the time – ‘probably equivalent of driving a Maserati today’.

Well spotted Jacky.

I have no idea -other than seeing a few “Google” references using his name and Maserati –but there are a few references to him being a Maserati owner/driver which might explain the reference. The quotes are however edited and could be about another person due to Google editing/shortenning. Still I am sure “Modena” would be very happy to be powerful charismatic and graceful.
