I wonder how much FCA-PSA paid ‘creative’ bods to come up with the ‘Stellantis’ logo? Apparently it combines the ‘rich heritage’ and ‘combined strengths’ of the group’s 14 brands…

So lots of manufactures under one umbrella? In the world we live in I can see the possible benifits of sharing costs etc. but will that lead to more common platforms and more rebadging of models? Often some brands seem less important but I guess it stops them dissapearing altogether – will Lancia ever reappear?

Makes me think of an international BL only based in the Netherlands!

Well with Maserati supposed to be having a STELLAr year with the new vehicle launches I wonder whether now is the time for them and perhaps Alfa to breakaway from this group altogether. After all who would want to buy a non-pedigree car but thereagain some cross-breeds are quite likeable.

According to the rumours this week Alfa Romeo, DS, and Lancia are considered premium brands within the group and all will be getting new cars to sell. It will be interesting if Lancia will make a return to these shores. Maserati is, of course, its luxury brand.

I’m hopeful that the economies of scale that should be available will ensure that it remains in a health financial position and is able to support new car development along the lines outlined over the past few years.
