KeymasterFrom your chassis number 10*009 I believe yours will be the fifth car built as only odd numbers were used, mine is 10*111 which might make you think it is the 56th built but as it was only a few months later in July 1965 it makes me think there could have been quite a few gaps in the sequence? http://www.maserati-alfieri.co.uk/alfieri00a.htm
Your pictures show the ZF S5-17 gearbox which is correct for an early car, mine has the later ZF S5-20.
I am sure you will find that the brake calipers are shared with Jaguars of the same period, the problem is which one… I have found these guys very helpful in the past http://www.powertrackbrakes.co.uk/index.html
From their website “We are a supplier of rare and hard to find brake spares for mainly British vehicles, we can also help with parts for European vehicles fitted with Lockheed Girling or Dunlop braking systems [Saab, Volvo, Maserati, etc.]”

ParticipantThanks for these leads Jerry, I’ll follow up. I have an email on file from the Maserati archivist confirming the car’s build lineage. I’ll double check and let you know.

ParticipantMy first build query.
Below is a photo of the handle mechanism (to the right) and the door catch (on the left).
I appear to be missing the linkage / component in between the two… Does anyone have an insight you could share please?
When you unlock the door, the two ‘fingers’ on the handle rotate, presumably so they will not then engage with the door catch when the door is locked .

Does anyone know if the headlamp trim surrounds are Lancia Flavia? I have three, none of which fit 100%. I have one with the following markings:

ParticipantSome lovely shots thanks, always good to see shiny new parts. Some of the old parts don’t look that badly worn so guessing it must have been stored well in a nice dry place.

ParticipantThanks Tony,
Despite passing through a few hands over the years, most of what I have is in good shape. As ever it’s the small stuff that takes the time and ultimately defines the finished result.

ParticipantHi Viken and Andy
Sorry I missed these posts – got to stop my Trash folder eating the important stuff. Andy sorry to have missed the opportunity to meet at the NEC. Viken, I’m based in London too – SW5. If it’s possible to drop over at some stage and take a look at a few details on your car that would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
David

ParticipantAfternoon Gents
Does anybody have a lead on where I can source headlight surrounds for the Sebring 2? I’ve spent the morning at Mcgraths looking at the Sebring 2s they currently have in (5 no less..). The light surrounds I have look wrong. We are currently reprofiling the wings to fit potentially the wrong surround so I need to sort asap.
As an alternative ( and this is a massive ask) would anyone be prepared to lend me their surrounds to take a mould from them so we can go ahead and finish the bodywork up front. I’d be happy to underwrite any costs from loss or damage and to handle the parts personally. I have an excellent fibre glass chap who has said he can make me a copy for sizing purposes.
any suggestions gratefully received!
