Evening
My 2010 QP GT S has a center carbon dashboard inlay which has a small crack. The same appears in the right hand door.
My car was serviced by Stewart Roden (highly recommended) and asked him about it. I understand the inlays are difficult to place and hence may crack upon refitting and/or removal.
This might be the cause of the crack.
It appears the parts are not easily available and really expensive to make by hand (no surprise).
Does anyone else have experience with this? It is purely cosmetic in nature and not easily spotted either but I know it is there…
I was thinking there might be a ‘written off’ QP GTS example somewhere in the UK as demonstrated on Top Gear last week. I did not spot that Flintoff’s car had the same inlays otherwise I would be pestering him!
