I notice in the recent news about the Sir Stirling Moss MC20 homage that the shape has moved away from the  Alfa 4C engine mule to a more realistic MC20 – all getting very tantalising!

Interesting choice of cars in the background.

The Eldorado that tried to kill Moss and a V12 250F that he clearly did not win @ Monaco in, as that was a six cylinder car.

It seems a shame that Maserati’s marketing team seems incapable of understanding their own history whilst at the same time repeatedly referring to it!

Indeed, all they have done is go and get the two cars from the Panini collection and find a nearby disused building for the photo shoot!

at 1 minute 23 sec you can hear the MC20 engine as it goes to pass- i know all the writing so far is about a V6 but could that not be a V8. ??

On a separate note perhaps we should allow for the current problems and getting the Panini cars was all they could do ?

Interesting, maybe some acoustic wizardry to make is sound a bit V8ish? Would be surprised if they will produce a V6 & V8 version – but you never know…
