Some of us on the forum were joking last week after the Alfa Romeo/Sauber arrangement was anounced about a Trident appearing on the side of an F1 car……  it now appears to be happening…..

And I’m sure Ferrari will make sure Maserati have last years engines so they don’t beat them?

I think it could be more to give Ferrari more (political!) power within F1, and also more ways for ‘legitimate’ engine testing.

It’s another one of Marchionne’s ‘magic mushrooms’. With Ferrari still an active, front-running F1 participant, the idea that you can attach the names of its two most revered FCA siblings – also, lest we forget, two of the other greatest names from early F1 history – to the side of a pair of also-rans and come out ahead in terms of credibility is laughable. As I have noted in the latest Trident, the Tipo 159 Alfetta and the 250F will be over-revving in their graves.

    Graham – who the holy f*** is ‘simonds-park’? (I can say that – I’m a moderator…)

It looks like the Maserati/Haas link up will not be happening…

Agree with you Simon that it is laughable the link up with Alfa. Cannot see that being competitive for a couple of years yet….

No idea why the ‘ds’ is there!! If you click on your name in the top right of the page, you will be able to edit your profile. In there you will be able to change your name to what ever you want 😉
