A reminder that there are now a few HUBS setup for different regions across the country for memebers to get meet and socialise.

I’ve recently setup the Facebook page for London SW here https://www.facebook.com/groups/1201847180816859 if any members wish to join. Also if anyone is interested or has time to update the page, let me know as I work full time and travel regularly & would welcome any support.

Good to see these are gaining some momentum, like Tony I have created a Facebook page for Kent & Surrey HERE and also a Instagram account so please feel free to take a look and any input would be greatly appreciated. We obviously have the Festival Italia event at Brands Hatch next month and it might be nice to arrange some social meets going forward.

I’m thinking it would probably be good for the website and news letter admins to publish a list of all the HUBS permanently.
We don’t have a lot of engagement on here so these messages I think are not seen by many.

Looks like Brands Hatch this year will have a really good turn out.

Hi guys, I’ve not been on here long and was surprised how little engagement we get here. I’m looking to get familiar with more 4200 enthusiasts! especially as I’m trying to source parts for a recent MOT failure! I would be very grateful if anyone steer me in the right direction in the Lancashire area. Here is an upload of the parts I need ?

    Hi Stephen,

Have you tried here to obtain the parts

    https://www.eurospares.co.uk/Ferrari

    https://www.scuderiacarparts.com

Mario’s at Autoshield on Manchester is also a good source of knowledge.

If you have any difficulty with some parts let us know.

    Tony

    Hi Tony,

Chris from Scuderia has been  helping me out going through the failed MOT parts, so a big thanks to you! The only trouble is the suspension arm rod is not sold separately from the whole lower wishbone/foot and they want 1700+vat! Story short I’ve managed to buy a selvage one for 130 from eBay…happy days ??

    That’s great new Stephen,

Thanks for the update & glad to hear you have the parts.

Used is the way to go for a lot of our spares now.

Best wishes on getting everything fitted.

    Hi Tony,
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Do you get your Maserati serviced at a dealership – what oil gets  used for your GS? I imagine it’s no different for my GT. I have a good mechanic and just putting feelers out for anyone with experience on any difficulties/ special tooling needed to undertake a full service?? Thanks Stephen ?</p>

    Ditto! Thanks Tony.

I managed to get the MOT completed and as I mentioned before many were secondhand for the suspension, however, I decided not to skip on the front brake disks – pistons in calipers were seized so I managed to get a good set of reconditioned ones. My mechanic struggled removing the suspension as the car has been sat for two years by the previous owner and in hindsight I think this is what prompted him to sell!

Thanks for all your feedback! Incidentally, do you know a good mobile engine tuner and detailer in the Northwest?

    Great news Stephen,

No point in taking risks with the brakes, I’d have down the same.

For the tube up give Mario’s  at https://www.autoshieldmaserati.co.uk a call. Although I’m in the South I have used him for my x-pipe and an inspection & he is very knowledgeable. also he might have know a good detailer.
