I’ve been watching the live online coverage of the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend and I have noticed that there has not been any mention of Maserati – not even as one of the many sponsors.
Is this a sign of things to come or is it part of the build up to the launch of the Alfieri, supposedly due next year?
I’ve always thought of Goodwood as the “Spiritual Home of Maserati” in the UK.
I have watched quite bit as well and also heard nothing about Maserati. Seemed to spend alot of time around the Mini stand — rain this morning didn’t help viewing .
Maserati as a brand and to some degree as a club / clubs seem very quiet (or missing) from many events. Would expect them to have more visibility at Goodwood, although not been the case at the events I have been to over the years.
It would seem that Maserati were at Goodwood ~ here is what they Tweeted today:
“We had a weekend of excitement and adrenaline at the #FoS : we raced at high speed in the #MaseratiLevanteTrofeo thrilling the crowds along the hillclimb.”
I was there for all 4 days….Maserati were not a sponsor, had no stand and their only presence was to bring the new Levante Trofeo which was displayed in the new models section
It seems to me that Maserati (in the UK at least) is a brand which is just part of a group, there has been an effort to push Alfa Romeo but it seems they dont really knoe what to do with Maserati and things often seem a bit half hearted.
