Sorry to sound like a …. But i cannot read some of the newsletter the font is pretty small in some places.

The back page with a sort of chess board  has grey with red letters and another diagonal blue on top of that and then grey with black in two font sizes- its very small. I had an eye test only last week and allows well.

If its me then I am the oddball and my bad luck- if its others as well then no doubt others will comment but I am afraid there are a few places with pretty small font size (e.g. some on the Events page).

Easy to moan I know and much is done by all out of goodness but please can we have a look and see if there is a case to change the font sizes up a bit ?

I’ve just got the news letter, to be honest I can’t read the small font you mention with my glasses. I went for an eye test last Thursday so it would be good to hear views from other people.

The reason I went to the opticians was to get some contact lenses to use on my Goodwood track day next week, couldn’t read the small font with these on as well.

So your not the only one.

I’ll third that.

I do like the clean look of it, but the events diary on the back page is pretty much unreadable. There are a couple of other spots, the blue boxes with black writing on the club events page are a struggle as well.

Glad I wasn’t the only one- I will hope that the next issue has a larger font size and more contrasting layout in those problem areas as its a shame as a lot of effort will have gone into the new layout

I will have a chat with Matt as the red on grey on the Diary is a little challenging!

It is ‘work in progress’ so I am sure Matt will take on board any constructive feedback.

Hi everyone, this was a first attempt by Matt at an in-house production.  Its a huge saving on the previous arrangements and we’re sorry for the teething troubles.  We agree the chequerboard diary needs revision and some of the print in boxes is bleeding right to the edges.  But we’re on the case and your feedback after the next issue would be much appreciated.  John Bennett

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. You are all quite right. The chequered flag diary idea didn’t work at all in those colours and at that font size. There were other layout and legibility issues that need a fix too. I’m onto it! You’ll see an improvement for Issue 162.

Just got the May newsletter and thanks for the work on the layout update.

I tried counting  the number of cars in the Anorak Question and it all depends on whether you include all the visible Maseratis in the Silverstone Classic picture. Quite cleverly annoyingly sneaky  with a simultaneous grin ? Anyway i emailed in my answer but couldn’t get the same number each time I counted !  Hopefully you will put the answer in the next issue?

A good old fashioned magnifying glass helps ;)!

I did 3 counts, and got the same in two of them, so went with that…

Great job Matt! All clear, and thus no need for me to visit an old employer of mine (just yet)!!
