I took my car for a post purchase inspection, major service and plug service at JHM Automotive (Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche Specialist), Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. I did expect a few issues but there is always more than expected:

    – Front brake pads and discs

    – Rear brake pads and discs

    – 2 rear coil springs

    – Exhaust actuators seized

    – A number of issues with the convertible roof not making a good seal / sunroof glass detached

The most major issue is keeping the car water tight with a new roof covering. I have sourced a company (luckily) who are very close to me called Hood Tech. I can get a new canvas roof fitted for £3950 with a 5 year guarentee. This roof is not a Maserati OEM but is made for the car. I noticed that my current roof has the heater function but the custom made one doesn’t have this included.

Have any GranCabio owners had issues with their roof covering/seals leaking? I would be interested to know where people got a new roof covering and where they got it fitted?

I have caught this at the right time…luckily

Cheers Tony. I have booked it in with them and bought new seals all around the hood.
