In July last year my 2014 GTS suffered a double blow out of the two front tyres  The offside completely deflated and the nearside partially; obviously I needed recovery.  The problem appears to be the geometry of the wheel set up not being in tune with my driving style.  The factory settings have tolerances which allow limited adjustments to be made  but these tend to cater for the more aggressive driving style for which the car was (arguably) designed.
So, I have a question… My car is about to go in for a service including a geometry check. What settings for camber, castor and toe should I be looking for to minimise wear on the inside rims of both front and rear tyres. The settings will no doubt be different for front and rear.
    Thanks for any insight…

    Hello Mike,

I’m not convinced that because your driving style is smoother this will increase tyre wear based on the current setup. This appears more like wheel alignment is out, I’m not aware of any specific settings. I would suggest you speak to the dealer and ask them to check the the preferred factory settings if these are documented when doing the geometry.

Generally if you have equal wear across across then this would indicate your are driving gently otherwise you’d have more wear say on the insides if your putting your foot down 🙂

    Happy Easter

    Tony
