I had a new hood fitted by a specialist firm who were great about a month ago. When I pick up the car, there were no error messages but I was told not to open the hood for 7 – 10 days. Due to the bad weather, I simply didn’t use the car.
I have used the car over the last few days and I have suddenly had the error message followed by a bleep – ‘Roof Operation Unavailable – See handbook’
The rear windows do not work at all from the driver side controls. The passenger side window will only come down in 2cm sections and I have to keep pushing the window button until it reaches the bottom. However, going back up is normal. Driver’s side window operates normally.
I have changed the battery for a new Yuasa 5000 and there are clearly no polarity issues.
I have been through the handbook for fuses linked to the windows and hood. There does not appear to be any clear fuses for either the windows or the hood.
A friend is a senior engineer at Bentley and he suggested resetting the windows which I have tried to do but nothing has changed or improved.
The hood guys are great and I can bring it back to them and they will take a look. However, I really wanted to know what had happened myself.
Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? The steering wheel buttons all work fine.
I have put a video on Facebook on the Maserati Owners Club. Please have a look….
