I have a 2011 Granturismo S Auto. After about 1 hour of driving I get a yellow suspension light warning on the dash. I have an Autel Code reader and the fault code is C1204, Left rear solenoid valve maximum threshold exceeded. I clear the code and the same will happen on the next drive. I have to say the car doesn’t get driven that much as I work overseas.
Can anyone provide any information on how to fix this fault.
<p style=”text-align: right;”>The error suggests the valve’s resistance is outside the expected range, likely due to a faulty solenoid, wiring issue, or a problem with the suspension control module.
It requires investigation to fix otherwise the code will re-occur as you’ve noticed.</p>
Tony-Jaskeran, thank you for your response. Can you elaborate on the valve/solenoid? Where are they situated, do they control the operation of the shock absorber through the suspension control module.
The solenoid valve is integrated inside the shock absorber itself.
The left rear solenoid valve is built within the left rear suspension damper.
Yes, the solenoid valve inside the shock absorber is controlled by the suspension control module (Skyhook ECU), and it regulates the damper’s stiffness in real time.
