My friend took his Gransport to a specialist paint shop to enquire about having some small rust spots under a light cluster treated.  He was advised that it required the rear bumper to be removed but that this could take 4 hours or more, with the labour costs that entails.  They said an Aston Martin they’d had in had taken 6 hours to remove the bumper versus 8 hours book advice and similar to replace.  Does anyone have experience of how hard the rear bumper is to remove and replace time-wise??  Thanks.

Have a look at this thread, I helped a friend remove his, took us 3 hours, it then went to the paint shop and we refitted it.

Thanks again Tony – very helpful.  I think he was quoted £45 an hour labour for the bumper removal (ex-VAT) and £150 for the paint job itself
