Hello, It looks as if my Coupe Cambiocorsa (2005 facelift) falls foul of the soon to be introduced ULEZ zone in London. I understand the minimum standard is Euro 4, but there seems to be some inconsistency online as to whether the car is Euro 3 or Euro 4. Does anyone know for sure and if the car is Euro 3, are there any remedies that overcome this? As a separate issue, not sure anyone would want to drive a Maserati into London, but that is another discussion! Much appreciated, Maurice Moses.

    Hi Maurice,

this is one place to check: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle/as this (probably) is what tfl will use to check vehicles.

bearing in mind the Coupe was still being manufactured in 2006 and therefore would have had to meet EURO 4 then hence why it could be both.

Probably worth talking to a Specialist to see if an EURO 3 one can be ‘upgraded’ to a EURO 4 – could just be a remap – could be more. If a car can be ‘upgraded’, I wonder how the tfl database accounts for that? Does it just go by registration date or it is more ‘intelligent’?

Thank you Graham – I hadn’t thought about a remap and will enquire! I will post the results of my enquiries as it may be of help to others. Maurice

I live in SW and I’ve driven my Maserati’s for 20 years and still do even though it’s full of speed humps. I live near Richmond Park and use my 4×4 if I’m late anywhere.

It’s  a real shame but I completely understand the drive to be environmentally friendly.

    Hi again,

I have made a few enquiries of dealers / specialists, and sadly they have no solution. Even if re-mapping is possible, I cannot face having to argue this with HMG! The car is better off not having to be driven in London in any event….

    Thank you for your thoughts.

    Maurice
