Boot stuck shut

hi all,

the boot is emergency release isn’t working the button in the dash isn’t working.  The button on the key fob isn’t working.

the dash was saying the boot was open, boot took three attempts to close, the last one a very firm slam……and now it won’t open. Pressing the buttons on the fob and dash don’t make the lock make any noise and the emergency cable appears to have dislocated as it moves but nothing happens in the lock and there’s no resistance on the pull.

I have about 48hrs before the battery would have drained itself.

help please!! ?

Hi Stewart,

Sorry, I’ve been away. Does you charger have an adapter to use the power outlet/cigarette lighter.

Am not sure if you have a GT or QP, as my only other suggestion at this point is to remove the seats and see what the problem is with the cable release.

If it took you three times to close, I don’t wonder if there was something lodged in the way.

Hi, just an update.  HR Owen had to take the soft top off to get to the boot mechanism.  Ouch.
