Participantis the club doing an application to the above or do we just book individually?

ParticipantI’m not aware the club is doing anything formal. I’ve booked up already under the Maserati individual category as couldn’t see any clubs. There were 18 spaces when I made my order.

ParticipantWill be there too as an individual, would be good to meet up with any other members who attend, maybe sort an unofficial club stand for next year?

ParticipantDigressing a little- There is a Brooklands Auto Italia day as well in October – I have never been . Anyone been before and any views. Must be more limited than Brands but could be more trade stuff.

ParticipantNot been for many years.
When I went it was a pretty big show / display but obviously not the same sort of track action, although not completely static. There seems to have been quite a reduction in trade stands etc at many events, I guess this is down to increased cost and the ease of selling online?
The Brands Hatch event has the making of a good event, it just needs to grow a little.

ParticipantHi. Chris, I go every year. It’s my local event hence always attending.
Its very well organised plus if you like aircraft the museum makes a good tour.
Its a much smaller event but you can easily stay the whole day. If you want to park with Maseratis you need to get there early. Overall it’s very well attended and lots of Italian cars to view.

ParticipantWe do not have anyone on or off the committee offering to organise Brands Hatch and many other race events. If you wish to volunteer then we can put a notice on the web site to funnel enquires through you.
Edwin Faulkner is organising the club stand at the Silverstone Classic this coming weekend.

ParticipantThanks all. Went to the Brands events some years ago and enjoyed it and decided I really liked the look of some 3200’s there and bought one about 4 years ago. Have been to Brooklets since which was also very good. Unfortunately Brands clashes with a personnel commitment I’d forgotten about, as events are all being squeezed into a shorter time frame. So I will probably go for Brooklands.

ParticipantHow was AutoItalia at Brands Hatch?
Annoyingly, we were only about 12 miles away on a personal engagement… so near, but so far…

ParticipantI enjoyed it!
Seemed a busier than last year which was good, plenty to see, lots of Fiats, Alfa’s and Ferrari’s, then a nice mix of most of the other Italian manufactures. Maserati numbers are always down on others but still a good showing, they were in a good area although sadly, there seemed to have been little thought given to how they were arranged, it was a bit haphazard.
Caught up with a few friends that I have not seen in a while and met a few new people. Would be nice to have a club and maybe a factory / dealer presence next year?
