    Richard,

With erratic idling it sounds like a potential throttle body/pedal potentiometer issue.

Might be best to get the error codes causing the EOBD light checked out.

At some point soon it may well go into ‘limp home’ mode.

As an aside, I took my 3200 out on Sunday. Voltmeter dial varied between 12-14 volts depending on the mood the car was in (nothing to do with the load on the car)! My first 3200 was exactly the same.

    Graham,

Am fixing-up an appointment for a thorough mental check-up before it becomes completely unstable. However, at the same time, enquiring for the cost of fitting a new clutch (which I will supply) and bringing forward by 6,000 miles, the recommended cam belt change. Just hoping the Covid 19 closure will not inspire recuperative add-on costs.
Like you, my intention is to keep it, in the hope that if it is set-up correctly and cared for, it will continue to reward well into the future.

Well done on getting a clutch.

When I had a weeping rear oil seal I had the clutch replaced at the same time and kept the 50% worn item taken out – just in case!

Is it a Maserati boxed one you have found (with the appropriate markup for the nice box)or a direct Sachs one from somewhere else?
