Thanks Tony, much appreciated. At 5 years old the battery could be suspect, but seemed to be OK as no problem starting up after a break of almost 3 weeks. Putting it on a trickle charger it is still not fully charged after 24 hours, so if after another day it is still charged fully I will get it properly checked.
The bit that really bothers me is the alarm not re-setting and turning off with the keys (either of them), which feels a more deep seated issue. I will probably end up at taking it to HR Owen as I’m not technical enough to handle anything beyond batteries! Being near Cambridge it is not great for any dealers, and too far from Autofficina who seem recommended. Need to find a decent independent nearby!
