Hi Jerry,

thanks for the reply.  Your words sound reasonably encouraging.  Was your car at the Goodwood Revival last year by any chance? A friend spotted one that had very discretely been converted to modern EFI.  It sounds like a good idea, and at least keeps to fuel injection rather than going the triple Webers route.  I wonder if it improved the mpg at all, although that is not a prime consideration running this type of car.
