Hi Steve,

As you have not had a response I thought I would chip in.  I have never owned a Mistral but have owned a Sebring S2 for more than 20 years which is mechanically pretty much the same.  They are not particularly complicated cars and in my experience are reasonably reliable.  The mechanical fuel injection is an achilles heel, it can be made to work but the people who know how to do it are few and far between.  Many cars have been converted to Weber carbs for this reason, my own car is on modern EFI which the purists will not approve of but it means I can fix it myself!  As with any classic car the advice is buy the best one you can find, someone else will have spent all the money and it will always cost more than it is worth to restore a bad one.  There will be at least one Mistral at the concours next month and lots of people with more knowledge than me there so if you can make it to that there should be lots of advice available.
