I’ve had my GranTurismo insured through Adrian Flux for two years for around £500 a year however a recent debacle ensued due to my Bentley having a smashed windscreen and the cover only allowing for a £1000 refund. I had to pay £1430 excess to get a new screen. Despite the Maserati having a different underwriter which clearly stated that all the cost of a screen was covered Flux insisted the cover was similar as they do a private deal with the underwriters to lower their prices. This however was not shown on any paperwork. I am making a complaint to the ombudsman about them.
If Ryanair did insurance brokers, Flux would be the result! Probably the most cretinous outfit I’ve ever used and I should know better as I had a Rolls-Royce covered by them a few years ago and that didn’t end well either.
I’ve now moved onto a multi car policy through Admiral who are covering the GranTurismo for £305 along with my Bentley and Mercedes E350. All prices for each individual car are appreciably lower then single cover prices and the charge is only made when each car commences cover so there’s no paying up front whilst you’re still covered by your existing insurer.
Don’t know how it will pan out of the year but they seem to have a good reputation for customer care.
